Coach Alan Downey steps down after 10 years at the helm of the St. Ignatius Men's Soccer Program. Alan enjoyed many successes on the field, finishing with 115 wins, 3 WCAL Titles, 2 CCS Titles, and a NorCal Title. Athletic Director, John Mulkerrins states, "Alan has been fiercely dedicated to SI Soccer and we appreciate his commitment and leadership in the last decade! Alan had a very natural coaching style and developed strong relationships with his teams. SI Soccer was lucky to have him and we wish him the best in his future!" Coach Downey said to the soccer program, said, "After a great deal of thought, I have decided to step down from my role as Head Coach of the Men's Soccer Program. It has been an awesome experience for my 10 seasons at the school. I will cherish the wonderful memories I have and the lifelong friends I have made along the way. I will always be grateful to have been a part of the special community at S.I.
