SI Football finsihes the season with an overall record of 6-4 (4-3 in WCAL). The 'Cats played an very strong preseason schedule, facing two league champions San Ramon Valley (North Coach Section) and Jesuit, Sacramento (Sac-Joaquin Section), and Cathedral Catholic (San Diego Section). After gaining 2 wins from this preseason trio, the Wildcats finished in 4th place in the the WCAL by defeating Mitty, Bellarmine, Valley Christian, and Sacred Heart Cathedral. Their four losses came from San Ramon Valley (East Bay - Mountain Champions), Archbishop Riordan (3rd Place - WCAL), St. Francis (2nd Place - WCAL), and Junipero Serra (WCAL Champion).
In the first-round of the CCS Open Division Playoffs, the Wildcats will face a familiar opponent in Valley Christian. The Wildcats defeated Valley Christian 15-14 in league play on Friday, October 13 in San Jose. Valley Chritian had a 14-0 lead going into the 4th quarter and the Wildcat offense woke up and scored 2 touchdowns, converting a 2-point conversion to win it in the last minute of play.
